Metamorphic Series I

Bold bands of brown, rust, and warm earth tones sweep across the surface, suggesting enormous forces at play.  The forms feel fractured, curved and driven, like layers of rock pushed, broken and thrust forward under immense pressure, as if the Earth itself is in motion.

Woven through these darker tones are traces of metallic gold that catch the light amid the upheaval.

This suggests that the ground beneath us is far from calm, but exquisitely active, constantly shifting, colliding and reshaping itself.  It conveys the powerful forces that drive these transformations, revealing beauty not only in time and erosion, but also in energy, impact and change.
