Strata in Flow

Strata in Flow feels alive with shifting geological energy.  Soft, swirling bands of brown, rust and warm earth tones curve, like layers of rock that have been gently contorted over time.  Everything flows suggesting that even solid stone can shift and change over thousands of years.  It is like looking at a slice of the earth’s interior, where each layer tells part of a long, fascinating story.

Running through these darker tones are streaks of gold that catch the light.  They feel like natural veins formed under pressure, now shining through. The gold draws your eye as you follow the curves.

It reminds us that the ground beneath our feet isn’t as still as it seems; it has been shaped, stretched and transformed over time.
This painting invites you to imagine the slow, powerful forces that created these patterns and to see beauty and wonder in something as familiar as rock.
