Pale Winter Light III

Pale Winter Light is an abstract series of three paintings that capture the quiet, muted atmosphere of winter.  Soft, layered washes of cool colour suggest landscapes that appear and fade, like a view through misted glass.

Forms remain indistinct, light is diffused and gentle, creating a sense of stillness and restraint.  Rather than depicting a specific place, the works invite a feeling where landscape, memory and light merge into a calm, reflective experience.
